Introduction

In order to achieve academic excellency, the College authority is endeavouring to tap the co-operative moods of all teaching and non-teaching staff of the College. Over the years, the College has achieved success in improving the academic atmosphere in right perspective. Besides providing academic teachings to the students, the College also organizes remedial classes as well as coaching classes for entry into various services like civil service, Assam Public Service Commission, Banking, Railways, TET etc. with the financial assistance received from the UGC.

Apart from this students are also provided opportunities to participate in co-curricular activities thorough the NCC and NSS unit of the College. The NCC unit of the College is tremendously vibrant in all its activities including participation in Republic Day Camp, National Integration Camp, Mountaineering Camp held every year in various places and also achieved success with many awards. So far, many cadets hailing from poor families have got placements in various defence services. As a whole, the College has been able to exploit the  good talents of the students in co-curricular activities which is reflected in the successes achieved in various tournaments  like the Gauhati University Inter College football Tournament on several occasions.
