Gossaigaon College celebrated its Golden Jubilee as the college stepped into 50 years from the year of its inception in the year 1971. The inaugural function of the celebration started with lightening of lamp by Dr.Kumud Ranjan Basumatary, Honourable Principal, Gossaigaon College, Gossaigaon followed by other dignitaries. The Principal of the college hoisted the college flag and the main flag of the celebration was hoisted by Mr.Raju Kumar Narzary, President of G.B, Gossaigaon College followed by 50 ex. students each hoisting the Golden Jubilee Flag of the college. Sri Pramod Boro, Honourable CEM, BTR, also graced the inaugural function with his brief valuable speech. The entire flag hoisting programme was led by Dr. Kaneswar Baruah, Convener, Flag and Cultural Sub –Committee. Down the memory lane was the next attractive programme of the day where all 50 invited ex-students and other invited guests actively participated.
