Gossaigaon College organized “One Day Inter-College Volleyball competition” in connection with the Golden Jubilee Celebration on 24th January/2022. In this competition, Gobinda Basumatary College, Zamduar College, Kokrajhar Govt College, Bentol College, Barama College, Bodofa U.N Brahma College, Gurudev Kalicharan Brahma College, Bijini College, Kokrajhar Science College, Janata College, Gossaigaon College, and Hatidhura College participated with their strong contingent of players.
The colourful Volleyball competition was inaugurated by Mr. Hemendra Nath Brahma, Secretary, Assam Football Association. The final match was played between Gobinda Basumatary College, Jaraguri and Barama College, Barama and in which Gobinda Basumatary College, Jaraguri won the Championship Trophy and a prize money of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand Only). Invited Chief Guest, Mr. R.N. Brahma, MCLA, Guma Constituency gave away the Championship Trophy and prize money to the winning team and Mr. Dhananjay Brahma, Chief Convener, Volleyball Competition Sub-Committee, handed over the Runners up Trophy and prize money of Rs 8000/-(Rupees eight thousand only) to the runners up team. Nayan Boro, Barama College was adjusted with the best player trophy and prize money of Rs. 2,000/-(Rupees Two thousand only) which was handed over by Dr. Dimbeswar Das, Convenor, Volleyball Competition Sub-Committee.
