“Indian Democracy is Not Successful One”
A State level debate competition on “Indian Democracy is Not Successful One” was organized in memory of Damayanti Das & Sarbeswar Das by the Golden Jubilee celebration committee, Gossaigaon College on 20th January, 2022. Miss Masanda Pertin, the Hon’ble SDO (Civil) Gossaigaon graced the occasion as Inaugural speaker. In this state level debate competition, some 8 (eight) teams had represented their institutions as individual and group competitors. Cotton University, M.C. College, Barpeta, B.N. College Dhubri, Bongaigaon College, Manikpur Anchalik College, Kokrajhar Govt. College, Birjhara Mahavidyalaya, Bongaigaon and Gossaigaon College, were represented by a group of talented debaters. Sri Rajdeep Mahanta of Cotton University won the Best Debater prize. Sri Rajdeep Mahanta and Sri Hemanta Bora of Cotton University were awarded the 1st prize, Sri Dhritiraj Das and Sri Bikashjyoti Das of M.C. College, Barpeta and Sri Arupjyoti Roy and Miss. Dalimi Roy of B.N. College were awarded the 2nd and 3rd prize respectively. Amidst large audiences, the debate competition was concluded with a thanks giving speech by Sri Dhananjay Brahma, Vice Principal and Chief Convenor, Golden Jubilee Celebration Committee, Gossaigaon College, Gossaigaon.
